Oreo Peanut Butter Dip

I needed this today. Well, my hips did not need this, but my head so wanted chocolate. And peanut butter. This is amazing. We ate it with graham crackers and apple slices. To. Die. For. You could also use animal cookies, Oreos (why not???), or just a spoon.

And now, I must go lick the spoon. I mean wash the dishes. I totally meant wash the dishes!

I am so making this today. Peanut butter and chocolate are my favorite. I would assume IF there were leftovers that you could just store it like peanut butter?! Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Aimee said...

TvJunkie- Yep, just seal it up with a lid (I used a mason jar and lid) and store it in cabinet. Mine didn't last long!

I made this last week and it is just as incredible as it looks. I only changed one thing... I have a deep aversion to white "chocolate", so I threw in a handful of mini chocolate chips instead. My friends and I have discovered we like it as a pretzel dip. Just try to stop yourself from eating it. I also think it would be good as an ice cream topping, but I haven't tried that yet. Thank you so much, and I am in love with your blog!

Aimee said...

Thanks Jennifer! I love it with pretzels too. I've made it a couple times already, it's so good!

wow! this peanut butter looks incredible. what an innovative combination of all the best flavors. :)

I made this tonight using all natural peanut butter which has to be refrigerated after opening and yet the Nutella is not supposed to be refrigerated. Do you suggest I refrigerate it because the pb to nutella ratio is 3:1? I don't want it to go bad although I don't think it will last long. And since I am not a white chocolate fan,I substiute chocolate mini morsels from Nestle's.

Aimee said...

I personally wouldn't refrigerate this, as it would get stiff. But I don't know enough about why natural peanut butter needs to be refrigerated. Your call on this one!

this looks so good! im making something for my friends birthday, and just to fancy it up a litle do you think i cmaybe ice a cake with this? or maybe combine it with your cookies n' cream cookies? (she is a total chocolate lover). and i was wondering, do you by chance have a fool-proof way to crush the oreos?

Aimee said...

Kendra- I don't think I would frost a cake with this, but it would be great between layers. I crush my oreos in a ziploc bag with a rolling pin (just pound them a few times).
