Chicken Kisses

One of my favorite dinners. Alyssa (my 12yr old) usually chooses this as her birthday dinner every year. It's so perfect on a fall evening, very filling and quite delish too! Thank you to Aunt Sandy for sharing this recipe with me many many years ago! I don't think I have changed it much.

Michael is a little (okay A LOT) anti-creamy. I usually use half the amount of cream cheese called for in this recipe, but for this dinner? I went all the way. And it went all the way to my thighs. You could easily though use less fat cream cheese, if it makes you feel better.

Chicken Kisses
by Shugary Sweets
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
Keywords: bake entree chicken crescent rolls
Ingredients (serves 8)
  • 4 cup cooked, diced chicken (use a Rotisserie for easy, or make some ahead of time, I microwave 4 large boneless breasts in a stoneware cooker and dice it up- do what's easy for you!)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp minced onion
  • 2 package crescent rolls
  • 1 jar Heinz chicken gravy, warmed
Instructions
Mix chicken, cream cheese, butter, spices, milk and onion in bowl.
Unroll crescents and using two crescent rolls at a time (to form a rectangle) fill with stuffing. Pinch up the corners (makes 8 packets).
Bake at 375 for about 15-20 minutes. Serve with warmed gravy! Enjoy!

Oh, my goodness! Am I going to try this one! I have been a follower of yours for awhile now. You have such a sweet tooth (and that's a good thing!)

At least I do my laps at the local Y each morning. What's one...or two more to burn the calories off?

Yum, I know my kids would love this recipe. What would we ever do without Rotisserie chicken?

These look so delicious! Almost like little chicken dumplings. And I'd definitely be a fan of a warm, comforting meal (filled with butter and cream cheese) as the nights get cooler. :)

These sound absolutely divine! Thank you so much for sharing on Hunk of Meat Monday. I am going to make them the next time the dh is gone since he grumbles every time I make chicken.

This is definitely one of my all-time favorite meals. I haven't ever added the gravy on top, which is a great idea, but I do add 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup to the filling. Can't beat cream cheese/crescent rolls combo. Love the name too!

Made this for dinner a few weeks ago when visiting my sister and her new baby. Everyone loved it, even my picky boys (7 & 9). I used more chicken than called for in the recipe, which resulted in it being less creamy. The second time I made it closer to the amount of chicken called for in the recipe. It was much nicer the first time, so I will definitely be reducing the amount of cream cheese in future. Will be making this often. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
