Butterscotch Pudding Cake

5 ingredients. 5 minutes prep. You CAN do this. Like right now. This cake is so moist and delicious, I know you will thank me. After having all that heavy chocolate earlier this week thanks to the Valentine’s holiday, my body needed something lighter.

Yes, my body needs sweets. Doesn’t yours?

And this cake didn’t last long in our house, it was gobbled up by all.

*Just a note, this cake is very dense and moist, so don’t be all expecting a flaky, crumbly cake! Instead, enjoy this moist pudding cake!

Butterscotch Pudding Cake

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients (13×9 pan)
  • 1 box (18.25oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 box (3.5oz) instant butterscotch pudding mix
  • 2 cup skim milk
  • 11oz bag butterscotch morsels
  • 12 oz Cool Whip Topping
In large bowl whisk milk with pudding mix. Add in cake mix and butterscotch morsels.
Pour batter into a greased 13×9 baking dish. Bake according to cake mix (for a 13×9 cake). Remove from oven and cool completely. Refrigerate 2 hours or until serving. Frost with cool whip and enjoy!

    This cake looks so good and moist! I like the idea of using the butterscotch pudding and butterscotch chips. I will have to try it sometime. Thanks for posting!

    This sounds so good (and easy!) and moist. Do you want to wait for the pudding to actually set up and then add it to the dry cake mix, or doesnt matter?

    my body needs sweets everyday! and I’m not gonna do anything to change that. the only thing I need to do is make this cake for my daily serving :)

    Great recipe! This is something that I just wouldn’t ever come up with. The use of butterscotch pudding is great! Sounds so delicious.

    This looks so good! I Think I will try it with my favorite whipped cream frosting- You take a quart of whipping cream, whip it up most of the way, then add a small box of pudding mix (in this case i will try butterscotch) and whip it a little longer, and if you keep the cake in the fridge covered, it keeps nice too :)
