Jamberry Nails: I can't decide which wrap I love best. Come read my honest testimonial...from someone who does NOT sell them!

1. Let’s start with Jamberry Nails. My sister in law, Casey, recently started selling Jamberry, and at first, admittedly, I thought “stickers for nails?”. But, I ordered some and here’s what I will say. THEY ARE NOT STICKERS. I have always had thin, brittle nails. However, after using Jamberry Nail Wraps for a month now, my nails are stronger than they have every been. And I’m constantly being told how “cute” they look. Seriously?  Me? Cute nails?? I wish I had taken a “before” photo of my nails.

PHILADELPHIA Bacon Cream Cheese Spread. So tasty!

2. I’m a bit in love right now with this new Bacon Cream Cheese Spread from PHILADELPHIA. Have you seen this in your grocery store yet? A couple weeks ago I shared this photo on Instagram, my BLT Sandwich went to a whole new level with this creamy spread! There are delicious bits of bacon in your favorite cream cheese!

How would YOU eat this PHILADELPHIA Bacon Cream Cheese Spread? I’m pretty sure if you beat it into your mashed potatoes it would be pretty amazing. Or add a spoonful on top of your baked potato. What about on a bagel ? Or in a wrap. Ohh, my stomach is growling.  I’d go have another BLT, but as I shared with the photo on Instagram, my dog decided to eat the remaining bacon slices off the counter while I was taking this photo! Forget the bacon, I’ll just use the Cream Cheese, lettuce and tomato on my toast!

Stitch Fix- have you tried their clothing yet? Get your own stylist! Clothing shipped to your house to try in the comfort of your own room!

3. I’m back with another Stitch Fix review, guys! I’ve been loving all the comfortable fall clothes in my recent fixes. My husband snapped that photo of me sitting outside playing with our crazy dog! The sweater and the jeans are both from Stitch Fix. I love how everything fits!! I’m getting another fix next week, so be sure to follow me on twitter too, to see what I get!

What is Stitch Fix? Basically, you sign up and fill out a style profile. The photo at the bottom of the collage above is “casual chic” which basically is the style of clothes I normally receive. You choose the date of delivery (you can also sign up for monthly deliveries, but that’s totally optional). When you get your “fix” you have 3 days to try stuff on (which is great, because you can do it at home and see if items match). You’ll receive 5 items, if you keep everything you get 25% off everything. If you return it all (I’ve never done this!!) you are charged $20. The items you receive may push you outside your style comfort zone, this is the part I love. I also love that I don’t have to shop….I hate shopping for clothes! Anyways, give it a try and let me know what you think! stitchfix.com

5 of my favorite Cookbooks, on the shelves now!

4. So. Many. Cookbooks. Some of my favorite blogger friends have put out cookbooks this year. I’ve been fortunate enough to get copies of these, and now I’m sharing with YOU, my thoughts!! Stay tuned for my big Black Friday giveaway in November, one winner will get a copy of all these…and SO SO MUCH MORE!

  1. The Biscoff Cookie & Spread Cookbook: I just got a copy of this one from my friend Katrina (over at In Katrina’s Kitchen). If you or a family member has a nut allergy, this may be your answer! Have you tried Biscoff Spread? It’s pretty much the most amazing thing ever…and now Katrina wrote a cookbook with over 70 recipes! You’ll love the drool worthy photos with every recipe too!!
  2. The Red Velvet Lover’s Cookbook: Do you or someone you know love Red Velvet? Deborah from Taste and Tell shares so many delicious treats, classic recipes with a Red Velvet twist! I’m pretty much in love with her Red Velvet Cheesecake recipe!
  3. The Girl Who Ate Everything by Christy Denney. Looking for delicious dinner recipes? You would not believe how many pages of this cookbook have been dog-eared. Seriously, I love that her recipes are flavorful, yet easy enough for the average home cook!
  4. Dessert Mash-Ups: a much anticipated cookbook from my friend Dorothy (Crazy for Crust)! It’s described as Tasty Two in one treats…her chocolate chip cookie pie is on my baking to-do list!! As is the Carrot Cake Coffee Cake (WHAT???) !
  5. Cooking with Pumpkin: I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this Pumpkin galore cookbook from Averie (from Averie Cooks). You all know my love of Pumpkin, well, this cookbook is just fantastic. I’m slightly obsessed with the Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls recipe!

Vanilla Bean Mummy Cupcakes for Halloween!

5. Are you ready for Halloween? Last weekend we spent the day helping our good friends set up their annual Haunted Garage! We brought these delicious Vanilla Bean Mummy Cupcakes

Fun, Halloween Party food ideas: homemade pico de gallo and guacamole

We also brought some Pumpkin…dips! I used Pumpkin Pie size pumpkins. One poor pumpkin had stab wounds on his side (with homemade pico de gallo coming out). The other pumpkin was a little sick (maybe from seeing all that pico de gallo) and was puking up guacamole!

Here are the recipes I used:

  • Pico de Gallo: This is our favorite version!
  • Guacamole: just a classic recipe for a delicious snack!
  • Roasted Pumpkin Seeds: one thing I added after taking this photo is some roasted pumpkin seeds. I sprinkled them over the salsa and guacamole to give them a little character. ENJOY!

Rats and Bones for Halloween dinner!

6. Speaking of Halloween, do you have your dinner planned? These Meatloaf (rats) with Breadstick (bones) are so tasty. And they are so fun for the kids!! Or, if you just love a good hearty meal, forget styling your food and make it regular. I know my son would have preferred his dinner to not look like bloody rats, bwahahaha!!!

Crunch Pak Apple Snackers

7. Crunch Pak Apples. It’s no secret I have an awesome partnership with Crunch Pak. And from time to time they send me some awesome goodies to sample. These NBA Fit Snackers are so fun! My kids love sticking these in their lunches, and their friends love seeing the athletes on the packaging. You can find these at Walmart!

Pumpkin Cookies from BakedbyRachel.com

8. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies from Baked by Rachel. I will be sad when it’s no longer socially acceptable to be posting and sharing Pumpkin recipes on the web. Until then, I’m hoarding all these delicious recipes on Pinterest!

Chocolate-Drizzled-Peanut-Butter-Cheesecake

9. Chocolate Drizzled Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bars: how good do these look? I wish I had them in front of me right now!!

  1. What a fun post! I totally was always a NO WAY NEVER stick on nails person, but those are so cute. Plus, I think I failed at coloring in the lines in kindergarten, because I can’t do it on my nails. So I need those.
And all that food? GIMME IT NOW.!

  2. So many fun things you are sharing, Aimee! I love your new Stitch Fix sweater- that blue is great on you! Can’t wait to order Jamberry nails-perfect gift for Greta!

    • Awww Thanks Lisa. That sweater is so soft, like a sweatshirt, I loved it the minute I saw it 🙂 And Greta will LOVE the nails. My girls just had salon night last night and put them on themselves. (my oldest did some helping with the younger ones).

  3. I saw your photos on IG about the Jamberry Nails! So cute! I have the same problem with my nails so I will definitely be looking into these! So fun!
You seriously got some cute stuff in your StichFix! I so need to sign up!
The carved pumpkins – hilarious! Almost made me spit up my coffee! lol
Thank you for linking up to my cheesecake bars, Aimee!

    • I just can’t seem to combat the thin, always peeling nails. Just when they get a little longer, they snag and rip. The Jamberry truly has been a lifesaver, can’t say enough good things about it 🙂
And your cheesecake, well, it’s marvelous and needed a shout out 🙂

  4. What a great fun post! Love the pumpkin dip, too cute.

  5. So much to love in this post!! Especially the candy corn nails, the guacamole barfing pumpkin, and BACON CREAM CHEESE. OMG.

  6. Oh gosh, I must be missing out on the cool trend of Jamberry nails – they look cute!

  7. Those Jamberry nails looks so fun. I never ever paint my nails because it begins to chip immediately. It even happens with salon manicures. These wraps sound like they would last so much longer and my nails would be cute!

  8. So much good stuff this month! I do love those nail wraps. We tried them at the fair last year, but then I never ordered any. I’m thinking some stocking stuffers are in order now! Plus, maybe some for my thin, peeling nails! And those pumpkins are hilarious! Love it!!!

  9. I’m still trying to decide if I wanna do jamberry for my wedding nails-my nails are so little that they’re too big on me but I know it’s possible to make them smaller…I dunno. thinking on it.

I still wanna try stitchfix sometime and omigosh so many of our friends have cookbooks out!

  10. Yes! You totally convinced me with the jamberry nails…I’ve been skeptical, but they always look so cute! I HAVE to try stitch fix now, too 🙂

  11. Aimee, I love your top ten posts! It’s neat to see another side of you, aside from your super recipes:) I had to smile at your two pumpkins with the pico de gallo and guacamole spurting out of them… My son’s birthday is today, but we’re celebrating tomorrow night and he asked if he could have bloody rats and bones. Hope the grandparents aren’t alarmed!

  12. Thank you for including our Country Baked Chicken in your Top 10 Aimee! I’m thrilled to be in such great company! 🙂

  13. Such a fun recap of your month! You’re making me want to try Stitchfix. I’m not a huge shopper, but I would love if new clothes just appeared at my door!

  14. Lovin’ your Stitch Fix get Aimee! So pretty.

Totally jealous about your new cookbook collection. Oh my gosh! I’m such a cookbook nerd.

That oven baked chicken looks divine! Mmm…

Love Stitch Fix and love Jamberry!! I’m on my 6th fix and my first set of nails 🙂 I daughter wore the candy corn/pumpkins ones for 2 weeks and I did the sparkle chevron ones in your picture above. I also got the white chevron set too, can’t wait to try them.

  16. So many great finds here! Those pumpkins seriously have me cracking up! Happy Sunday!

  17. Thanks for including my book!! And I can’t wait for my nails!!
