Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sharing is caring!

Here they are, for all of the world to see! My recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies. It took many years to try to perfect the chocolate chip cookie…but I did it! And now, I share with you….(thanks to Crisco for the inspiration on this one!)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cook Time 13 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup Crisco (butter flavored)
  • 2½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 egg
  • 3½ cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1½ bags of milk chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Combine crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients and combine thoroughly. Add in morsels.
  2. I prefer to make these cookies big, using a 2 Tbsp scoop
  3. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10-13 minutes, until lightly browned on top. Of course, I recommend using a stone to cook these on, to get even browning.

  1. Your chocolate chip cookies look fantastic. Thanks for linking this up to Sweets for a Saturday.

  2. Cool photos of your food, by the way. (I’m browsing your February entries that I missed as a cybersnack rather than actual munching… maybe this will backfire…)

  3. Hi Aimee

What size cookie scoop did you use in this recipe. Also, what do you mean by baking these cookies on a baking stone.

  4. Oh if only I chance upon these recipes earlier. I just made a batch of toll house cookies for Teacher’s Day.

    These looks and sounds great.

  5. Aimee, these look delicious! I’m always having such trouble with chocolate chip cookie recipes and can never seem to get it right. I can’t wait to give these a try and have real-life cookies that look like your picture. Mmm.

  6. Hi there, these look amazing! I was just wondering what ‘Crisco’ is? Sorry I’m from New Zealand and I’ve never heard of it over hear, is there anything I could use as an alternative? 🙂

  7. Jess, Crisco is shortening, it’s just a brand name. Thanks for stopping by!
