Orange and Grapefruit Granita

Sharing is caring!

I had never made Granita before today, and I’m so glad I tried it. So easy, and such a refreshing treat. You could use any combination of juice fruit here, I’m trying lemon with apple juice next. You could put it in a glass with some Sprite and Absolute Lemon vodka for a treat too. Hmmmm….

Orange and Grapefruit Granita

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 grapefruit

Instructions

  1. Zest and juice both grapefruit and put in large glass bowl. Add about 2-3 Tbsp of grapefruit pulp as well. Mix in sugar and water. Add orange juice.
  2. Freeze for about 1 1/2 hours, stir with a fork (breaking up all clumps). Continue to freeze an additional 1 hour, stirring with a fork. Scoop and eat. Enjoy!
