Easy Lemon Sorbet

Smooth, sweet, and tart describes this deliciously, Easy Lemon Sorbet recipe! No ice cream maker needed! Add an optional shot of vodka for the perfect palate cleanser!


  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ΒΌ cup grated lemon peel (fresh)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • vodka, if desired, for serving


  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to boil over high heat. Boil for one minute, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Reduce heat to low.
  2. Add in freshly grated lemon peel and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  3. Once cooled add in fresh lemon juice. Pour into a freezer safe container, such as a bowl or metal bread pan. Freeze for about 4 hours, or until firm
  4. When ready to serve, scoop into a bowl (or fancy glass). Add a shot of vodka, if desired.
