Perfect Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe for cakes and cupcakes! Plus an easy tutorial on how to frost a cupcake!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 ½ cups powdered sugar
½ cup unsweetened baking cocoa powder
1 tsp almond extract
½ cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
Beat butter for 3-5 minutes in a mixing bowl, until pale in color. Scrape down sides of bowl as needed.
Add in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, almond extract, and heavy cream. Beat for an additional 3-5 minutes, scraping sides of bowl to fully blend frosting until light and fluffy.
Use on cakes and cupcakes.
