Cheesy Garlic Bread

A pan of buttery Cheesy Garlic Bread makes any Italian meal complete. Turn a plain loaf of bread into the best ever garlic bread in minutes with this recipe.


  • 1 loaf Italian Bread
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 5 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley to garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 375° and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Mix together the softened butter, garlic, seasoning, and salt.
  3. Cut the loaf lengthwise and lay open faced on baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter mixture over cut side of bread.
  4. Bake in oven until edges just start to brown, about 7 to 9 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the buttered side of bread.
  6. Return to oven and bake until cheese starts to brown, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley and slice. Serve warm.


  • You can use any type of rustic style or baguette bread, like french bread or your favorite Italian loaf, like Ciabatta.
