With the perfect balance of sweet and tart, soft and crisp, this Apple Cranberry Crumble is a must-try fall dessert that's as easy as it is delicious.

Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 apples, sliced or diced
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

For the Crumble:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. In a large bowl, using a large spoon or rubber spatula, combine the melted butter, apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed and fruit is covered with mixture.
    3. Pour the entire fruit mixture into a pie plate, spreading evenly.
    4. In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, melted butter, and sugar, stirring with a spatula or fork to fluff the crumble mixture. Sprinkle over the filling, covering as much as possible. 
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until the top crumble is a light golden brown. 

Notes

  • No need to peel apples first!
  • Freeze in airtight freezer safe container for up to 3 months
