The best ever Pizookie recipe takes homemade chocolate chip cookie dough and bakes it in a cast iron skillet. With crisped edges and a soft center, this is one swoon worthy dessert. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect finish.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Spray either a pie plate or 8” cast iron skillet.
    2. In a large bowl and mixer, mix together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
    3. Add the egg, vanilla, flour, baking soda, and salt and mix again until everything is mixed
      together.
    4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
    5. Press the batter in the pie plate or cast iron skillet until it is evenly distributed.
    6. Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes.
    7. Enjoy warm with some ice cream!

Notes

  • You could also use a 9-inch springform pan like we do with our Easter Cookie Cake. However, it's harder to eat warm while in that pan.
