In a medium bowl, beat softened butter with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes until butter turns pale in color.
Add powdered sugar, peanut butter, and milk. Beat for an additional 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Notes
Add extra milk if you prefer a thinner frosting.
This recipe makes enough frosting to cover 12 cupcakes or a 13x9 cake. Easily double it if you need more frosting!
Store frosting in refrigerator for up to 5 days. You may need to beat it again if piping onto cupcakes.
