These Chai Donuts are maple sweetened, baked and full of fall spices! Pop these in the oven on a chilly fall morning, dip them in glaze and enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
Preheat your oven to 350F. Grease your donut pans with non-stick baking spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and chai spice mix. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vegetable oil, maple syrup, and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk just until no large lumps remain. Do not ovemix.
Divide the batter between the donut pans and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Turn the donuts out onto a wire rack to cool.
When cool, whisk the powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Dip cool donut tops into the icing and allow to set.
Enjoy the donuts warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
