I love eating cookie dough, sometimes even more so than baking cookies! And I know some of you have concerns, so here are my top tips.

Skip the egg. Since we’re not baking, there is no egg needed here.

Heat treat the flour. This gets rid of any micro-organisms that might be growing. You can also heat treat cake mix too!

Freeze. I freeze most of my truffles before dipping. Just use a cookie scoop and freeze them on a cookie sheet for about an hour. Remove from freezer, shape into balls, and dip in melted chocolate. You can then freeze again for longer storage.

Chocolate- I love using Ghirardelli melting wafers to dip truffles. It melts smooth and tastes amazing.
